Cristiano Ronaldo was in a ‘grateful’ mood as he celebrated his 39th birthday with a return to training, as well as time with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and his children.
The Al-Nassr superstar has posted a message on social media, thanking people for their birthday messages, after entering the final year of his 30s.
On Monday, Ronaldo marked the occasion with a return to training after recovering from a calf injury.
He did though get some time to celebrate with his family, posting a picture on Instagram with his partner Rodriguez – who recently turned 30 – and four of his five children.
Along with the picture, he wrote: ‘Grateful to spend my 39th birthday the best way possible: with my family and back on the training pitch. Thank you all for the warm messages.’

As well as three birthday cakes, Ronaldo also showed off a large bouquet of flowers he was given.
Among the messages he received was from Manchester United, who in a post on social media posted a picture of their former No 7 with the message: ‘Viva Ronaldo’.
Ronaldo – who rarely responds to United’s social media feeds since his tumultuous exit from the club in 2022 – liked the message.
Al-Nassr meanwhile posted a unique message to celebrate their biggest star’s birthday, with a video combining 39 angles of his ‘Siuu’ celebration since joining the Saudi Pro League club.
Despite his age, Ronaldo is still going strong and showing no signs that he is considering ending his playing career.
He has scored 20 goals in 18 matches in the Saudi Pro League this season, as well as three in the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo’s star power, despite moving away from European football, is still as big as ever.
Al-Nassr were forced to postpone their recent tour of China due to Ronaldo’s injury.

The injury also kept him out of a possible on-field reunion with Lionel Messi as his side played Inter Miami on February 1.
Ronaldo missed out on a rout in which his side beat Inter Miami 6-0, with Talisca scoring a hat-trick and Aymeric Laporte scoring from his own half.
Messi didn’t feature much however, as he only came off the bench with seven minutes left to play.
Ronaldo will hope to be involved when Al-Nassr face Al-Feiha in the AFC Champions League later this month.
